October Wrap Up

This is my October wrap up. Sadly I had a reading slump in the middle of this month which slowed down my reading so much. As I said in my TBR I had already read Mangus Chase and Illuminae in the first five days of October and I went down hill from there sadly. Really enjoy all of these books. Would definitely recommend all of these books. Illuminae was a cool sci-fi kind of book and it has so many twists and turns it was thrilling. Magnus Chase and the sword of summer was so much fun it is was a nice light read but I couldn’t put it down except from when I was laughing at the chapter titles if you are a fan of Rick Riordon then you will love. Crooked kingdom was amazing it was like ocean’s eleven with Europe in 19th century and a bit of magic loved loved it.  #illuminate #leighbardugo #crookedkingdom #sixofcrows #gemina #manguschase #theswordofsummer #thehammerofthor #books#bookstagram #bookclub #bookphotography #bookblogger #bookaholic #bookstragramfeature #bookcover #books📚 #leighbardugo #rickriordan #jaykristoff #amiekaufman #book📖 #bookworm #booklover #bookaddict #bookwrapup

The Crown’s Game

The Crown’s game by Evelyn Skye. I gave it a four and half and five but as you can’t do 4 and half stars with the star system on goodreads I just gave it a 5 out of 5 stars. So if you ever watch Anatasia as a kid like I did it had this homing feeling know that it was in Russia with the Romanov Family before it ended.

The magic in this book is beautifully written and described. The Magic was one of favourite elements to the story but I was unsure at first on how the magic would work and where it would originate from.

I love the two main characters, the female and male characters but has to get use to Nikolai and he way of thinking but found Vika a lot easier to understand

Love and hated the crown’s game I like how they turned it into more of a game on showing off and teasing the opposite character and didn’t become like the hunger games.

In summary loved this book couldn’t and wouldn’t say a bad thing about but for some weird ass reason u wasn’t one of my favourite book ever. Still have it 5 out of 5 stars

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Who else is excited for Empire of Storms. I am soo excited. I absolutely love her writing and books. I have preordered it. Has anyone else preordered it ? I personally prefer the hardcovers. Which ones does everyone else like ? Recently finished The Assassin’s Blade and just finished reading Crown of midnight. Just starting Heir of Fire and have previously read Throne of Glass. Soo far oh my god sooo good. So glad i decided to buy all of them to marathon read the series.

The Book of Pearl

The Book of Pearl by Timothèe De Fombelle.
I read this book for Dymocks YA book Club. I really enjoyed this book.

I found it to be a some what easy but light read. The reason being for a some what easy read is that it was told in different worlds and it had two main characters perspectives and a secondary characters perspective. The secondary characters plays a big role in the end but not in the rest of the book.

I loved the different worlds and Paris before , during and after world war 2. The two main characters were written really well and the writing was also written really well so that you could immerse herself in the story and the world.

I have heard that no many people liked it but I still gave it a 5 out of 5 stars.

A Court of Mist and Fury

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

I read this book awhile ago and I just couldn’t review it or take a pic worthy of it. So it is a bit late it is here. This book was soooooo good. I need the next one like now. Love Sarah J. Maas and her writing. You go Feyre. The last 50 pages are so amazing and emotional. So many plot twist that you are so shocked and I couldn’t believe some of them but yet I was reading them. A couple of the plot twist I was like YESSS was hoping that would happen but didn’t think I would. Feyre really has to deal with what she did under the mountains and what happens next and her deal with Rhys. Not many books talk about the what happens after the happily ever after or what you feel like since you had to give up so much of yourself. So I really enjoyed that it different and I wasn’t expecting it. In the book you get to see the night court and it is so lovely it remembers me bit of an old fashion Venice. In this book I felt and thought like Feyre again. The same thing happen with A Court of Thorns and Roses. So I don’t think I can say much more without spoilers. But Rhys ohhh my GODDDD and what the heck. Lucien REALLY you are gonna act like that and Tamlin what the HECK.
